Ride Etiquette

Parklife Cycle Club is regularly welcoming new riders into our bunch rides. We obey the road rules at all times with no exceptions. We try to set an example to fellow cyclists and drivers.

All riders must be responsible and respectful to all other riders and be willing to help educate other riders within the group on proper Bunch Etiquette. All riders need to respect the differences in other riders skill and fitness levels and support our mantra of #support #safety #inclusion.

When riding in a bunch your actions are no longer independent and must be considered as to there impact on the entire group. Everyone is responsible for the safety of the group.

We hold regular Etiquette sessions to help less experienced riders get up to speed quickly and encourage riders to join our bunch rides to further enhance their riding enjoyment and experience.

Regular Rides

The following regular rides are available for members and guests to join. These rides occur at the advertised time and starting venues unless stated otherwise.

Wednesday: Paceline Training

This is a faster ride. We practice "rolling turns" in a small group. It's a technique based session using the 5km lap around Sydney Olympic Park which we do five times, starting steady and gradually building speed each lap.

Depart & Meeting Point:

Park Bikes at 6am

It arrives back at the Mint Bar Cafe (next to Park Bikes) at around 6:45am for coffee.

Average speed for this ride is around 30-33km/h.

Thursday: LNCP Loop

This is for experienced riders and is a hilly ride with around 750m of climbing.  It’s fast and furious with attacks up the hills. However, the group will aim (but not guarantee) to wait at the top of the hills for a safe return trip. We would not advise this ride if you're not familiar with Sydney roads or comfortable riding in traffic.
